The Emerald Isle, Our Trip to Ireland

Last summer we took one of my favorite trips yet! Bowen and I, along with my mom, sister, brother-in-law and nephew visited Ireland. It has long been on all of our bucket lists and since my niece just so happened to be studying abroad there, it gave us the perfect opportunity to cross the pond for a visit.

My sister planned the whole wonderful trip! In fact when friends asked me where I would be going in Ireland, my reply was “I have no idea! My sister is planning it all, I’ll find out when I get there.” Somewhere along the line in our family’s past, my sister planned a trip we enjoyed and we declared her hired as our official family trip planner! She never disappoints and she is never allowed to retire!

This is about all I can say about Ireland: it FAR exceeded my expectations, its is prettier in person than any picture I have ever seen!!! Even though there is no way my pictures can accurately capture the beauty we saw, here goes!!!

We saw the cities, the countryside and the coast. We toured castles, cathedrals and colleges. We played golf, sang in pubs and shopped. My 82 year old mom even had a few pints along the way.! It was a trip to our homeland and we will never forget it!
